Hi All

Well another successful trip into Hamilton and negotiating number 6 highway with all the crazies. Dr. Ellis was away, so saw Dr. Arnold instead. Had 7 vials of blood removed and waited for those results and also my 2 chest X-rays.

Had my 6 week dose of Stimuvax (4 needles 1 in each arm and 1 in either side of the belly) from Theresa.

X-rays reported volume loss is again noted in the right upper lobe with elevation of the left hilum and tenting (not camping) of the left hemidiaphragm. Fibrotic change with traction bronchiectasis noted in the left paramediastinal region compatable with prior radiotherapy (Radiation)change.

There is persistent opacity seen in the right lower zone which has remained stable since May 2009, suspect to represent areas of scarring. Mild degenerative change noted in the dorsal spine (getting older I guess). Opinion is there is no significant interval change.

"Stable Disease"!

Hi mum and dad. Sorry I've not logged on as much as I used to but when I did, wow! I'm so happy for you dad!!!!!

So will you still need to go back? If so, for how long?

Things here are the same although I got some blood work back saying I very low in Vit D. That might explain the pain I still have. She has givens some tablets and I should get to a sun bed but I need to wait til I get paid.

I'm on some new anti depressants too. Anyway, your news is the best thing I've heard in a long time!!!

Love you loads. Carolyn x x x

Hi Carolyn
I will probably be on this trial for the rest of my life, every six weeks down to Hamilton. The only time I think this will change is if it returns. Yes Stable is great but still not a cure.

So what did they put you on???
